Let Us Speak Up

TWICECEKA

Under a sub-grant agreement made by Women for Women International under  “TWICECEKA” Activity (Let Us Speak UP), a program activity funded by USAID  to strengthen Rwandan civil society’s ability to engage the government in the fight against gender-based violence (GBV), KEEPCARE RWANDA in consortium with Rwanda Men’s Resource Centre (RWAMREC) and Faith Victory Association (FVA) is implementing a GBV prevention intervention  “Effective implementation of National gender policy and sexual and reproductive health policy to reduce teenage pregnancies in schools and surrounding communities in Huye and Kicukiro Districts.”

 

The objectives of the intervention are to speak out against GBV issues confronting young girls by doing the following:

Mushroom production project of teen mothers in Huye district
Group presentation of teen mothers during a training in Kigarama sector

Capacity building

Economic empowerment

Teen mothers Growing Vegetables in Mukura sector. (Income generating activity)
A teen mother started selling vegetables in Rango Market
Teen mother attended group therapy and counselling

Social protection

Advocacy
